Thank you for your interest in the Google Toolbar. At this time, we have no plans to create a toolbar that would be compatible with Macintosh. You might be interested in checking out Apple's new Safari browser, which can be downloaded at http://www.apple.com/safari/. Safari offers a Google specific search box, allowing you to perform Google searches directly from your address bar. Alternatively, Internet Explorer can also be configured to perform Google searches directly from its address bar. Some versions of Internet Explorer allow you to select Google as your autosearch default. If this functionality is available on your version of IE, you can enable it by following the instructions below: 1. Open Internet Explorer and click on the 'View' menu at the top of the page. 2. Select the 'Toolbars' menu and verify that the 'Standard Buttons' option is selected. If a check mark does not appear next to this option, click on the name to select it. 3. Once you have enabled the 'Standard Buttons' option, you will see a 'Search' button (the word 'Search' with an icon displaying the world with a magnifying glass on top) near the top of your screen. 4. Click on the 'Search' button. This should open a search pane on the left hand side of your browser screen. 5. Select the 'Customize' tab at the top of the search pane. 6. Click the 'Autosearch settings' at the bottom of the open window. 7. Under 'Choose a search provider for address bar searches,' select 'Google sites' from the drop-down list. 8. Click OK. As a second option, if you are familiar with QuickSearch, you can create a Google-specific shortcut for your address bar searches. To download QuickSearch or to learn more about its functionality, please visit http://homepage.mac.com/clarkcox3/downloads_QuickSearch.html . We appreciate your feedback and will continue to keep your suggestion for a Mac Toolbar in mind for the future. Regards, The Google Team First of all, the link to QuickSearch is broken, and besides, the first sentence pretty much tells the whole story. Shame on Google.
